The new 2021.5 Mazda CX-5 and CX-9 get a host of mid-year improvements, specifically in the tech and safety departments.
2021.5 Mazda CX-5
The changes made to the new 2021 Mazda CX-5 include:
- I-ACTIVESENSE active safety now standard across all models
- New 19-inch wheels standard on the CX-5 GS with i-ACTIV all-wheel drive
- New black leather interior with red stitching for the Kuro model
- New 10.25-inch centre display with improved Mazda Connect infotainment
- New Mazda Connected Services
The Mazda Connected Services technology gives buyers the chance to lock and unlock doors remotely, start the engine remotely, and get health updates on the vehicle.

The new 2021.5 Mazda CX-9 also offers the new 10.25-inch centre screen with Mazda Connect and Mazda Connected Services, but it will also offer wireless charging starting in the GS-L trim as opposed to just the GT.
